Search

search_files replaces shell grep, find, and rg. Gitignore is on unless no_ignore:true.

Context	include_context:true. context_lines defaults to 3.
Count	count_only:true. Do not combine with detail:"full".
Page	max_results is the page size. offset continues.
Types	file_types (.go,.txt) or include (*.go)

Default text is grouped: a path header, then line:text. output_format:"text" is the legacy layout. output_format:"json" is structured.

Empty search is status:empty and is not an error.

Structured output includes truncated and hidden_count. When truncated, continuation includes the next offset. There is no hidden 10-line presentation cap. max_results is the page size.

Generated and minified bundles (*.min.*, *.map) are excluded from content search by default. They can still match a filename search. A matched line is truncated after 500 characters.

search_files compiles with Go RE2. Backreferences are rejected. Nested quantifiers stay linear.

detail: summary (paths and count), normal, or full (snippets).

To search one minified file on purpose, narrow with file_types, then read_file that path.
